Two New Coffees! Santa Barbara, El Salvador and Kodukak, Rwanda

YOUR NEW MORNING COFFEES HAVE ARRIVED.

We are so excited about these two new coffees, we just had to share with you. With the balance of flavors in these two, we wouldn’t be surprised if one or both of them become your new favorite morning coffee.

We taste: Cantaloupe, cherry, juicy

Last year, we began a relationship with the Menendez family of El Salvador and brought in a liquid peach from Finca El Rosario. We are thrilled to be working with them again this year, serving up a tasty coffee from nearby Finca Santa Barbara in the Apaneca-Illamatepec volcanic mountain range. The coffee begins balanced and sweet, slowly peeling back to vanilla and soft melon like cantaloupe, finishing with a creamy milk chocolate. As it opens it grows a bit more juicy, as cherry enters the picture adding some depth to the sweetness. All the while, remaining balance without sacrifice of flavor. This is going to be my go-to coffee on drip in the mornings, and I think you’d agree. Buy Santa Barbara now in our cafés, or you can learn more and order online here.

We taste: Tangerine, apple strudel, cola

We are excited to announce another delicious coffee from the Lake Kivu region of Rwanda! This coffee begins a bit brighter by comparison—crisp tangerine and apple with hints of nutmeg followed by a creamy finish makes us think of apple strudel. As it cools, we think it takes on more cola characteristics. Just a lovely showing of this great region. This one brews a bit on the long side, so don’t be alarmed if you notice that. Buy Kodukak now in our cafés, or you can learn more and order online here.
